Downfare account deletion
You can permanently delete your Downfare customer account and associated personal data either inside the Downfare mobile app or by sending a request from the email address registered to your account.
Delete your account in the mobile app
1. Sign in to Downfare.
2. Open Profile.
3. Under Privacy & account, select Delete account.
4. Review the information shown, enter your current password when required, type DELETE, and confirm Delete account permanently.
Request deletion without the app
Email support@downfare.com from the email address registered to your Downfare account. Use the subject “Delete my Downfare account” and include your full name. If you signed up with a phone number, include that number. Downfare may ask for limited additional information to verify that you own the account before processing the request. Do not send a password, payment-card number or passport image by email.
What is deleted
After verification and resolution of any active travel or wallet issue, Downfare deletes or anonymizes your customer profile, saved travelers, saved addresses, search history, wishlists, preferences, saved payment methods, uploaded profile content, push-notification token and other account-linked personal data that is not required for an ongoing transaction or legal obligation. You will be signed out and the account cannot be restored.
What may be retained
Active trips, pending refunds, disputes and wallet funds must be completed, cancelled or resolved before final deletion. Limited booking, payment, refund, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting and dispute records may be retained for the period required by applicable law or a legitimate legal obligation. Where practical, retained records are minimized or anonymized and are not used for marketing.
Processing time
Downfare will acknowledge a verified request and process it without undue delay. Timing may vary when an active trip, refund, dispute, security review or legal retention obligation must first be resolved.
